About this activity
Our tour begins in the heart of Newport, within walking distances to just about any location in the city. Following an introduction at the Armory, we then visit a beautiful harbor before stopping at our first food location, which is sure to please. Following this, there will be a walk towards our second food location, during which time we will have a view of Fort Adams as well as see the meeting place which was and still is host to Irish American descendants. Our next stop will be a view where you'll hear about the famous Newport mansions, before we continue on to our next food location. We'll enjoy a brief talk in front of a famous Newport pre-revolutionary house, and then visit our fourth food location for a fabulous dessert to be enjoyed in a park. Our last stop is at a pub and will include an alcoholic beverage. Non-alcoholic beverages can also be provided.

Lots of interesting history of Newport. Lots of fun historical facts. The couple was lovely. Food was very ordinary a hamburger, fried chicken, and pizza. Thought we might get local fish, clam chowder, etc. portions were very generous just disappointed with food choices.
This food stroll was the first one for us. We both enjoyed the interesting history and great restaurants. The tour guides were wonderful. We highly recommend reserving a spot on a tour if you are looking for something to do in Newport.

So many great restaurants, points of interest, fun people, great food.....what else is there to a great day in Newport on vacation? It was such a nice time together and would suggest to everyone. Do it!!
Tom and Sue had a wealth of knowledge and the food stops were absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this tour, but bring your appetite and don’t plan on needing lunch after this!!
