About this activity

Away from the high rise and tourism opportunities along the palm-fringed beaches of Nha Trang, this from origin traditional fishing town has almost something Mediterranean over it. This is what is to be expected when you choose Nha Trang as your little hideaway for a period of battery recharging. Take our full day tour to show you that there are more than just the palm trees, white sandy shores, and the ocean as your vivid back ground and the playing ground for its ubiquitous fishing vessels.

An early morning until the late afternoon / early evening, your English speaking guide will accompany you throughout the day to show you his side of Nha Trang. We head out in the morning to the Cau Da port for a leisurely start of the morning as we visit the islands off the Nha Trang coast line. These pearls of tropical serenity form excellent spots to don a snorkelling mask and explore the underwater world, unique to this part of Vietnam. If you prefer to just chill and admire the surroundings and want to further work on your tan, the choice is all yours! Ample time will be spent here off the shore where the local boat crew will prepare lunch. Depending on the situation, you will sample some of the local Vietnamese delicacies either on one of the islands or on board the vessel.

We make our way back in the early afternoon to the shore, as there is plenty more to see and to explore. Our afternoon starts with visiting a very special place – the Loc Tho Pagoda. The uniqueness of this pagoda does not lie with its rich past and historical facts, but the temple is home to dozens of orphans and children who have not been as privileged as some of the fellow youngsters in the country. Raised by nuns and receiving basic education from volunteers, the children of the Loc Tho Pagoda depend largely on donations from visitors and local residents to make sure their future will turn our brighter. Although home to many children and its own school, visits may be restricted and/or not possible during school holidays. Saying goodbye to the smiling and hospitable residents of the Loc Tho Pagoda brings you to the Po Nagar Cham Towers, a sacred Hindu site that dates back to the 2nd century AD. The towers were built between the 7th and 12th centuries and still today, the site serves as a place when locals honour the Goddess Yang Ino Po Nagar, the Goddess of the Dua clan.

Finally, it is market time! The Dam market (locally known as Cho Dam) in Nha Trang lives and breathes trade in an authentic means. From early morning until late in the evening, the market is a beehive of hustle and bustle of local selling and buying much-needed fruit, vegetables and household goods. Markets such as these offer plenty of photo opportunities as colourful mementoes to bring back home.

Sadly, our day comes to an end, and together with your guide and driver, it is time to head back to your booked hotel in mesmerizing Nha Trang.

This tour is operated on private transfer basis from and to the starting point but will join with other customers on the cruise in the morning.
Return transfers for this excursion apply only / are inclusive for customers staying in Nha Trang. Transfers outside these areas, including any harbour and the Nha Trang / Cam Ramh International Airport are excluded. Supplements apply for customers who want to join this excursion outside one of these regions.

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct hotel information, should pick-up and drop-off services be included in the package. Any changes in accommodation outside 48 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 48 hours may be on request.
Visit to the Loc Tho Pagoda and meeting the children here during school time is subject to availability, approval of the local pagoda staff, and may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Donations to the pagoda for the support of the children are not compulsory but highly appreciated.
