About this activity
This four hour tour departs at 10 AM from 200 Rainbow Blvd (across from the Holiday Inn) in downtown Niagara Falls, NY. Once aboard the double decker bus, guests are taken to Whirlpool State Park. Guests leave the bus for a brief walking tour that brings them to the rim of the Niagara gorge and a magnificent view of the dangerous whirlpool 200 feet below. Once aboard the bus passengers are taken to the main park area and escorted to the Maid of the Mist attraction (admission included in bus tour ticket). Each person receives a souvenir rain poncho as they board the boat and take a fantastic journey to the base of the Horseshoe Falls.
When the boat returns to the dock, guests are taken via elevator to the Observation Tower for an excellent vista for picture taking. Back aboard the bus guests are whisked over the raging Upper American Rapids to Goat Island. Guests are escorted to Terrapin Point which is at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls and is regarded as the #1 spot to enjoy the Falls on the U.S. side of the border.
From here the guide takes guests along the breath taking rim of the Niagara Gorge to see Luna Island and overlook the Bridal Veil and American Falls. Along the way guests will view Tesla's statue and glimpse Niagara Falls, Canada located just across the river.
Back aboard the double decker bus, guests will have a leisurely drive back to the original pick-up destination. The entire experience is guided and features engaging narration that tells the stories of dare devils, dramatic rescues and Native folklore.
