The Ice House Winery holds a unique position in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is the only winery that makes ice wine exclusively. Take a tour of this beautiful property, dating back to 1890, where Niagara’s peaches were once packed.
Enjoy tastings for two, including two slushies (N’Ice Cabernet and Vidal), five Northern Ice Premiums (Vidal, Gewürztraminer and Riesling White Ice Wine, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon Red Ice Wine) and two blended, ice wine cocktails.The ice wine experience includes unique pairings, such as kettle chips, wasabi peas, and Swiss dark chocolate. For the kid's, non-alcoholic slushies are available.
Also, learn how ice wine is made, how to serve it in cocktails, how to pair it with appetizers, and how to use it in recipes.
When visiting in the wintertime, be sure to check out the active fermentation tanks in the tasting room and watch Jamie Macfarlane, the 'Wizard of Ice Wine,' working his magic.
