About this activity
“Mmm…chocolate”, probably shouldn’t quote Homer Simpson, or Charlie Brown’s creator Charles Schulz, “All you need is love. But, a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt”. But, what kind of a monster could possibly hate chocolate?? Nobody at Wheelz Niagara does, no monsters here. The hi-light of this tour is Niagara’s Chocolate FX, where they have hundreds of decadent ideas for the chocolate lover in us all. This is a working factory using artisan chocolate panning and molding techniques to literally cover everything and anything with chocolate. You can watch and taste it, as it happens.

And then, for a perfect day, add wine.

In the Niagara Region, there over 100 Wineries and Vineyards. The classic cool-climate varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc flourish here, the region also boasts over 40 other thriving varietals across 13,600 acres. The Niagara Peninsula continues to shape a rapidly expanding premium wine industry in Canada as the home to approximately 55% of Ontario's VQA wineries. So why not take a weekend to venture off the beaten path and visit some of these great small wineries… your next favorite bottle may be waiting just around the corner!

We believe, that, most of the experience here is in the adventure of creating your own personal “Wine Trail”. Not all tastes are the same, varying from what we like to drink, to what we want to learn, to what we want to see and oh yeah, it helps if the whole darn thing is fun. See only what you wish.

Pick up at any location in Niagara Falls or Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. Your Residence, Hotel, B&B or Airbnb.

Drive along the beautiful Niagara Parkway to the quaint old Town of Niagara-On-The Lake, often called the loveliest town in Ontario. (on the way, quick stops at the Floral Clock, Queenston Heights Park, the Gorge Lookout and Queens Royal Park for photos if you wish). The Old Town is made for walking, wander and enjoy it. Both sides of the street are lined with shops, boutiques and attractions.

Visit, 5-7 wineries/vineyards of your choice, based on your custom-built itinerary. Mix wineries, breweries, small batch distilleries and/or cider makers into your package.

This tour utilizes an upscale private vehicle exclusive to your group. It will take about 5-6 hours and will make for an eventful and unforgettable day. Your driver guide will memorialize your day with tons of photos.

The intent of Tastings, of actual wine products, at the various venues, is to afford you the opportunity to decide which products you enjoy (most products sampled at Niagara Vineyards are not available at the LCBO or anywhere else) and wish to buy. Most wineries charge for tasting samples of their products. In most cases Wheelz will comp 2-3 places or more for you.

Wineries start serving at 11:00 AM.

Lunch, should you wish it, is extra.
