About this activity

Your trip out to French Riviera's vineyards will be around half an hour each way. Your expert English speaking guide will discuss the region and its vineyards on the way so that any questions you might have can be answered even before you arrive at the first vineyard.

Visit the cellars of 2 wineries (and have a tasting at a 3rd) during the day, meet the local guides or owners and taste a variety of special wines made from unique native grapes.

Lunch will be a typical French one in a local countryside Bistro consisting of 2 courses and more wine to enjoy the meal with.

During this enjoyable day out in the beautiful countryside of French Riviera, you will learn about the vineyards, the grapes used and their growing techniques, you'll learn about the various wine making methods, and hear the history of the castles and surrounding area.

Our wine tour with Frank was a really great experience! He took us to three different wineries around Nice, which were all different and distinct in atmosphere and wines. He is extremely knowledgable about the wine making process, French wine rules, regulations, processes, and about the wineries of the area. He is trained and eductated in the wine making field, and thus can provide so much more detail about the wine process of southern france than your average wine tour. All three wineries we went to were unique and had excellent whites, reds, and rose's. The lunch we went to was at a small family restaurant only a few meters away from his family home. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about French Riviera wines and taste some great ones as well!
