About this activity
Meet your guide in the morning or in the afternoon at your cruise terminal in Monaco, board the comfortable vehicle and start your private day trip. First, go to the city of Nice. Visit the daily flower market in the cours Saleya of the old town and see remarkable Belle Époque's mensions along the seafront Promenade des Anglais.
Your guide will then take you to the village of Eze, one of the most famous villages in France. A cluster of ancient buildings transformed into galleries, high ranked hotels and workshops, lead to the Exotic Garden by flower-decked narrow streets, offering views as far as Corsica. If desired, there you will have the opportunity to visit the Fragonard perfume factory and learn about the perfume making process.
Your next stop is the village of La Turbie. The most spectacular feature of the town is the Trophée des Alpes ordered by the Roman Senate to honour Augustus's victory over Ligurian tribes. You will get an incredible panorama from the terraces over the Italian and the French Riviera. Monaco, at 1500ft below, seems breathtakingly close, like an urban stage set seen from a seat in the gods.
Now it's time to go to Monaco. The prince's Grimaldi palace, whose crest shows two sword-waving monks, remain one of the world's oldest ruling monarchies; cathedral and Jacques Cousteau's oceanographic museum are all in this old part of the Rock, a sheer-sided, flat-topped finger of land extending into the sea.
Your final visit is in Monte-Carlo. The heights of Monte-Carlo is named after Prince Charles, who opened the casino at the end of 19 century. The stunning casino and opera house are the architectural jewels sit on a terrace with superb view of Formula 1 track.
At the end of your tour, your guide will take you back to the terminal cruise of Monaco.
