Monaco Shore Excursion: Private Half-Day Trip to Monte Carlo and Eze

4 h
Private
Half Day
About this activity
See the best of Monaco while you’re in port on this private shore excursion. The four-hour tour also includes a visit to the village of Eze. Your private tour will start with a visit to Monaco’s most famous resort area, Monte Carlo. You’ll do a lap on the famous streets used for the Formula One Grand Prix. You’ll also have time at Casino Square to do some designer shopping, see the beautiful gardens, admire the mega-yachts in the sparkling harbor or simply watch beautiful people at play in one of their favorite getaway destinations.

With your minivan transportation taken care of, you can simply enjoy the scenic drive along the Mediterranean coast. You’ll travel along the Middle Corniche road toward the picture-postcard town of Eze. When you arrive at this medieval village, sitting high above the sea with craft shops and breathtaking views, you'll take a guided tour of a traditional perfumery.

You’ll be driven back to Monaco, and if you have more time before you must return to your cruise ship, you’ll be able to explore on your own.

Our guide picked us up from the port and drove us into Eze, where he led us on a walking tour of the city. He then gave us the option of taking us into Nice, which was beautiful! We then went into Monaco, drove around the F1 track (which was the guys' favorite part!), then up to the castle. Would definitely recommend!

We had an excellent tour guide who took us from the port to Monte Carlo and showed us the sights such as the casino and palace. We also drove the racing route and saw the crews taking down the barricades from the race which had just occurred prior to our visit. The best part about this tour was the visit to the village of Eze. We walked around this tiny city for hours looking in the little shops and just enjoying the breathtaking views. Our tour also included the perfume factory which we enjoyed and bought various perfumes. Even if your not a perfume person, this is still too good to miss. We ended at the palace where we decided to take a tour of the palace on our own. We were not far from the port and walked back to the ship after.

This is one of those exceptional tours with a driver that was prompt and knowledgeable. I would do this trip again with the same guide.

A nice overview of Monaco. We were taken up to Eze as well. Amazing views from there, and interesting history. Seems like a 1/2 day is really all you need, unless you want to go out of the city and travel to Nice or another city.

My family of five recently took this tour. We really wanted to see Eze and the Fragonard Perfumeur, so we modified the tour and the company was very accommodating. Marcel was our tour guide and he picked us up promptly at the pier and off we went. We learned a little about Marcel and Monaco on our way. I think this personal touch adds a lot to a tour. Eze was very beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the 13th century pathways up to the cactus garden at the top. You have to pay a nominal fee to go to the gardens but the views were well worth it. We had a small tour at Fragonard and really enjoyed the shop at the end. On the way back to Monaco, Marcel gave us some history on the Grimaldi's and he dropped us off at the Palace so that we could explore on our own. I would definitely recommend this tour.
