Stop At: Lanai lookout, Oahu, HI
A lookout point on the east side of Oahu on a clear day you can see across the channel to some of the neighbor islands Molokai, Lanai, and part of Maui. During whale season this is a great place to watch the whales breaching in the deep water off the coast. Also good for exploring the unique wind and wave shaped rock formations here

Stop At: Makapu'u Point, Kalaniana'ole Hwy turnout above Makapu'u Beach, Oahu, HI 96795
A spectacular lookout point on the eastern most section of the island, offering a sweeping view of nearby Rabbit Island, Makapu'u Beach at the cliff base below and the majority of the windward side lined by the rugged Koolau mountains to the left hand side. On windy days hang gliders use the spine of the mountains nearby as a base jump to coast high along the wind currents
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Lanikai Beach, Kailua, Oahu, HI 96734
Considered Oahu's most beautiful beach and rated one of the top beaches in the world, this beach has clear aqua blue water talcum powder fine sand and relatively calm conditions thanks to the reef keeping the larger waves at bay in the distance. Theres sweeping views of the windward side looking east towards rabbit island over towards the tiny Mokes islands just a 45 minute canoeing trip over and on towards the northwest the Kaneohe peninsula. Nearby is the popular Pillbox hiking trail. Getting here is just a 10minute walk from where i typically park through the wealthy neighborhood of Lanikai to the beach access points

A great stop off point that has a collection of small local shops offering free kona coffee, macadamia nut samples that come in a variety of flavors, other culinary samples like locally made peanut butter(amazing), and a chance to sample local made skin creams and oils scented with the tropical flowers that grow here. The are plenty of arts and crafts available for purchase as well that would make great gift ideas for friends and family back home.

Home to Jack Johnson the folk singer this is a great spot to enjoy dinner or try the islands famous shave ice at Matsumoto's. Haleiwa is like a shrunk down Waikiki minus all the modern high rises and asphalt
