North Shore

Operates: North Shore Turtle Bay Experience Spend the day experiencing Oahu’s famous North Shore the way the locals do, on the beach! We head straight up to the North Shore where the majority of the day will be spent at Turtle Bay. During the day our guests will have the option to explore with bike rentals, paddle boards, snorkel or just lounge on the beach. Additional highlights include stops at the Dole Plantation, Haliewa sightseeing, Chinaman’s Hat, a macadamia nut farm, and lunch at a North Shore shrimp truck. Itinerary: Waikiki Pickup (8:15 a.m.) Our semi private shuttle with a local guide will arrive at 8 am for pick up in Waikiki. Pick up times vary by hotel and will be automatically assigned when you input your information into our online booking platform or call our reservations department. Our semi private shuttles limit group sizes from 15 to 24 people. Dole Pineapple plantation By starting the day with the Dole Plantation and making it our first stop we bet to beat all the crowds and you get easy access to pineapple magnets, pineapple t-shirts, pineapple keychains and most importantly pineapple ice cream aka Dole Whip!! A great place to get some pineapple themed souvenirs for your friends and family back home and lets not forget yourself. Haleiwa Sightseeing We drive through the North Shore’s historic Haleiwa town, an old plantation town whose character is preserved in many of the buildings. We will point out some of the popular attractions such as Matsumoto Shaved Ice stand and the historic Rainbow Bridge as we venture through along Main Street and head to the famous North Shore beaches. Waimea Bay Popular amongst locals and tourists alike and home to the infamous Eddie Aikau Big Wave surf competition, Waimea Bay is one of the most famous beaches in the world when it comes to big wave surfing and a must visit when venturing up to the Oahu’s North Shore. During the winter months the waves can become massive and big wave surfers from around the world will flock to the Waimea Beach swells to give it a go. Then during the summer months you will find locals snorkeling and doing backflips off Waimea Beach rock. A trip to the North Shore wouldn’t be the same without stopping here and we are happy to be with you and show you this beautiful place. Tropical Fruit Stands Quench your thirst with a coconut, try some fresh cut mangos, or a popular Hawaiian/filipino desert called lumpia, a North Shore Fruit stand has an assortment of treats that will please anyone’s sweet tooth. Please bring cash for purchases, credit cards not accepted. Sunset Beach Home to the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, Sunset Beach is the epitome of a beautiful Hawaiian Beach. Just like Waimea Bay, during the summer months, Sunset Beach is also known to pump perfect waves attracting surfers from around the world. North Shore shrimp stands for lunch Italy is famous for pasta, Mexico has its tacos, and the North Shore has their famous Garlic Shrimp. Farmed fresh and sautéed in large pans daily, the North Shore Shrimp trucks do not disappoint when it comes to their shrimp delicacies. Other non shell fish food options are available. North Shore Turtle Bay Resort Experience Truly a Gem of Oahu, the North Shore Turtle Bay Resort is situated on some of the most beautiful terrain on the island. The location is surrounded by mountains, beautiful secluded beaches, and over 6 miles of walking and biking trails weaving throughout the property. Our guests will have full access to these facilities and amenities at Turtle Bay along with access to beautiful Kevela Bay as well. Just a 10 minute walk from the resort, Kevela bay is home to a beautiful secluded beach that most can only dream of, and is also known to be a great spot to see Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles lounging on the sand. Our standard and premium package will include a snorkel gear set so you can snorkel at your hearts desire. If you purchase our premium package, not only will your lunch be included, but the Adventure Center at Turtle Bay will give you a choice of: bike rental, paddle board, or beach chair and umbrella. Possible upgrades to a Segway Tour and Underwater Scooter also available. Chinaman’s Hat and Kualoa Mountain Range Chinaman’s Hat, also known as Mokolii, is nestled right next to the Kualoa Mountain range, known for its dramatic landscape filmed in the movie Jurassic Park. The island has earned the nickname Chinaman’s Hat from its resemblance to the straw hats that the Chinese immigrants wore. Tropical Farms Hawaiian Coffee and Macadamia Nut Sampling After a beautiful, scenic drive along Oahu’s coastline, we arrive at Tropical Farms, which offers delicious coffee, chocolates, and Macadamia nut treats! They also sell gift baskets and other souvenirs. Waikiki Return (5:00) After a day of activities and fun, we return to Waikiki, just in time to make plans for the night. Mahalo!
