The tour was pleasant. It was a lovely day for whale watching with some friendly visitors and a friendly crew. There were a few whales but we were always so far away from them that the only thing visible were the tails as they went under. I enjoyed the the time out on the water but when it came to actual sightings, they were few and insignificant.
We wanted to whale watch and we were not disappointed! We saw a mother whale and her calf, and since, according to the boat's whale expert, a calf surfaces to breath much more frequently than an adult whale, we saw them quite often during our two-hour tour. The ship's whale expert was very informative. We didn't opt for the lunch, so no comment there.
We were sad when we didn't see any whales, but were given a voucher to make another cruise. We were not disappointed on the 2nd trip out. So exciting. We saw a whale breech in front of our boat.
