About this activity

You day trip will begin with pickup at your hotel or the Ocho Rios cruise ship port. You will then begin the approximately 15-minute scenic drive to Fern Gully with over 300 varieties of fern and other species of plant. this winding scenic stretch 3 miles with an elevation of over 1200 feet above sea level, on both sides of the road are rocks with trees towering high above the road with there roots weave along the rocks. The vehicle will continue south until you reach the community of Colgate. You will also be able to buy fresh fruits and cool coconut from the Rastafarian vendors.

The next stop will be at Konoko Falls and Park where you will take a 1-hour guided tour which includes a visit to the water garden fed by streams that rise on the property, a museum of the island history and the Mahoe Waterfalls. You will also have a must-see panoramic view of Ocho Rios bay perfect for taking breathtaking pictures.

After Konoko Falls your vehicle will head back Then back to Ocho Rios for lunch and shopping at your expense for approximately 1 to 2 hours. After shopping you will be returned to your Ocho Rios hotel or cruise port.

We had a great day! I would not recommend the Fern Gully though to those who are living near forests as it is very similar.But Konoko Falls is really a nice place with green plants, water, flowers everywhere. A pure moment of peace...We loved it. I certainly recommend this private day to anyone wanting to avoid the crowd from the cruise! Our Dr Fun was flexible and understood very quickly what we were looking for. We also had a chance to visit the food market and taste the Jerk Chicken ! Thanks so much...
