Šolta - The Honey Island

Experience island herbs, the taste of olive oil, lemons, honey, wine and other island specialties. Your hosts, the Tvrdi family, are third generation beekeepers. They will show you their bee keeping farm and teach you about the fascinating life of bees and the Mediterranean lifestyle. You'll have the opportunity to see the bees in a glass beehive and to learn how honey is made. During the honey presentation you will enjoy the taste of different honey products, a refreshing honey drink and home-made honey cookie. Afterwards you will be taken on an educational tour through vineyards and olive groves. We will finish the tour with domestic wine and food well known on this island.
