After pickup from your Orlando hotel, take a 1-hour bus ride to the Florida Everglades. There, board an airboat for an exciting 1-hour eco-tour led by a US Coast Guard approved captain. Travel deep into the Central Florida Everglades’ 4,200 acres (1,699 hectares) of protected swamps, marshes and rivers. Get an in-depth look at the gators, birds, eagles, lush trees and plants as you experience Florida’s natural beauty in a remote, picturesque atmosphere.

After your airboat ride, head to the educational alligator demonstration and enjoy an exclusive 20-minute experience. You'll learn about the gator’s anatomy and behavior, as well as the types of dangers associated with these creatures.

Enjoy a real Florida barbeque lunch, including your choice of meat (chicken, pork or even gator!), a side dish, bread and a beverage.

You'll then have time to explore the 13-acre (5 hectare) park on your own. See the wildlife exhibits and spot a zebra, white-tailed deer, Watusi cattle, alligators and tortoises. You can also visit the tropical bird aviary and admire several species of birds. Before leaving, make sure to walk along the 500-foot (124-meter) sightseeing dock for spectacular scenic views. The Airboat tour was great, but the Alligator encounter was average at best. The BBQ lunch was a choice of a cheeseburger or a pulled pork role. Not a BBQ to be seen.

Capt. Jack was very knowledgeable, not only about the alligators we were in search of, but about the area in general. He was quick to spot the wildlife and point them out to us. Our driver Ivan was very friendly, and he also was very knowledgeable about the area. Both of these gentlemen were polite, professional, friendly and made our alligator encounter memorable!
