About this activity
Meet your driver and local guide in a central location in Rome at 07:30 and enjoy a panoramic drive through the roman countryside on your way to Orvieto, one of the best examples of Etruscan art and architecture in Italy.
With your expert guide, explore the old town as you stroll through its cobblestoned streets - there's a perfect photo opportunity waiting for you around every corner! Of course you will make a stop at the magnificent Duomo, symbol of this town, and be in awe of its imposing facade and beautiful interiors.
After the visit, we will reach a local winery, where you will be welcomed by the owner who will show you around the estate. Walk through the vineyards, and learn all the secrets of wine making as you enter the ancient wine cellar, actually a converted Etruscan grotto. At lunch time, you will enjoy a delicious meal of Umbrian dishes, accompanied by tastings of the wines the estate produces.
