Day 1: Osaka - Takayama

Stop At: Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture
Take time out at The Biwako observation desk in the midst of breathtaking scenery.

Stop At: Gujo Hachiman Castle Town, Gujo 501-4218 Gifu Prefecture
Gujo-Hachiman, also called the Water City, Gujo Hachiman is famous throughout Japan for its pristine rivers, water springs, and for maintaining traditional ecological practices that have kept the water running through the town exceptionally clean for centuries. Enjoy a relaxing lunch in a local restaurant, where you will also be able to witness firsthand how Japanese food samples (food replicas) are made (12:20-1:40 pm) . If you feel creative, you can also make your own samples and take them back as souvenirs.

Stop At: Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen, 2499 Ogimachi, Shirakawa-mura, Ono-gun 501-5627 Gifu Prefecture
Shirakawa Village, or Shirakawago (10:20 - 11:40 am). Explore and allow yourself to be fascinated by this World Heritage site with Gassho style houses said to have stood for over 300 years. The village was once considered a wild and unexplored region, with a natural environment that limited the interaction with neighboring areas. This made for unique cultural practices and lifestyle, all which can still be experienced today.

Day 2: Hida Takayama - Osaka

Stop At: Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen, 2499 Ogimachi, Shirakawa-mura, Ono-gun 501-5627 Gifu Prefecture
Shirakawa Village, or Shirakawago (10:20 - 11:40 am). Explore and allow yourself to be fascinated by this World Heritage site with Gassho style houses on observation desk.
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes

Stop At: Kenroku-en, 1 Kenrokumachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 920-0936, Japan
Kenrokuen Garden (12:50 - 2:10 pm). Enjoy lunch in a scenic location and gaze at what is considered one of the three most beautiful gardens of Japan. Located in Kanazawa Prefecture, next to Kanazawa Castle, the garden spreads across 11.4 acres of land, with a large artificial pond, hills and houses dotted throughout telling the tale of past times.

Stop At: Echizen Soba no Sato, 7-37 Makarachō, Echizen, Fukui 915-0005, Japan
Visit Soba-no-sato for tasting and shopping of Japanese traditional buckwheat noodles (Soba).
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Aeon Nagahama, 271-1 Yamashinacho, Nagahama, Shiga 526-0847, Japan
You will be dropped by Aeon Mall at Nagahama, you can do a shopping for Japanese made products and also Souvenir.
Duration: 30 minutes
