Loved learning about a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony and especially loved dressing up in a beautiful Kimono. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The dress, the tea, the information, the privacy - it was one of my favorite things for the entire trip. Our tea master even took time at the end to help us get some great photos. Highly recommend

Hi we enjoyed this trip and enjoyed dressing up . The setting and staff were lovely and friendly . It was meant to last 2 hours and we were finish in little over an hour . It was not very good value for money . More explanation about the history of the tea ceremony or Japanese culture would be good

We had a great afternoon discovering the art of kimono and the art of tea ceremony. The staff and the tea master were so proud of what they were doing and eagerly explained everything in detail. We felt like we could stay there all day long. There were lots of chatting, lauging and photos though tea ceremony itself should be taken seriously and the photos should be kept minimum. Before and after we had a lot of time for pictures for sure. tea ceremony is the epitome of japanese culture and one would miss a lot leaving japan without any kind of cultural activity. We are so glad that we found Maikoya and epxerenced this event prvided by the friendliest people we met in Japan.

The experience was flawless and all the staff members made me feel as if I was participating in a very special event. I had to take off my shoes to enter this big house in which every floor has a unique atmosphere. Entering a Japanese style house made me feel very special. After I was greeted by a staff member in kimono our guide came over and kneeled in front of us before she introduced her self. The tea ceremony was unlike any other thing I have done in Japan, it was like half meditation and half cultural workshop led by a local master. We had to be quiet and carefully observe the master to learn how to prepare matcha on our own and drink the way Japanese people do. I always wanted to try kimono so it was great that I could wear kimono for the whole time. They allowed me to take many pictures and also sent me the pictures taken by a high resolution camera after I got back. I was also lucky that the staff answered all of my questions about what to do in Osaka. I made new friends and left the place with wonderful memories. I highy recommend this experience to everybody.
