About this activity
Mandarin Orange in Japan
Japan is ideal for the cultivation of mandarins thanks to its mild climate and well drained soil, and it has been known for a long time as a place for harvest of tasty mandarins.
The mandarin orange picking that visitors can enjoy in Osaka is an all-you-can-eat system. Mandarin fields are usually built in terraces on a slope, visitors should pay special attention to the kind of footwear they choose for their visit.
You can enjoy the tasting and picking 10 types of crops here, (amanatsu mikans, strawberries, plums, grapes, pears, mikans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, chestnuts, and daikon radishes), all of which are grown in organic techniques in a site covering 120,000 square meters. There is also a fishing pond and athletic fields available here as well. Reservations are required here when special campaigns are held.
Picking season:Early October–mid December
