About this activity

Day 1: Arrive at Lillehammer

Welcome to the Lillehammer! On Sunday 18.00pm meet your guide and group members for dinner at hotel.

Day 2: Walking in Lillehammer and Maihaugen Open Air museum, 1 hour toboggan tour

Lillehammer is a small, friendly town, renowned for its charming pedestrian street lined with wooden buildings – a very popular meeting place during the Winter Olympics in 1994. We will walk around the city and visit Maihaugen - open air museum. The museum offers more than 200 buildings from different eras. This is a nice place to walk and learn more about Norwegian culture.

After lunch, we will try one of the city's most popular winter activities - Tobogganing. Tobogganing, the activity of sliding down snow-covered slopes and artificial-ice-covered chutes on a runnerless sled called a toboggan. The sleds connect directly on to the lift, so you can sit on the sled while you are transported to the top of the hill. The toboggans are equipped with brakes, and you decide the speed. Prior to start, everyone is provided with helmet and goggles. After a few practice runs, you will be able to enjoy the ride to its full.

Day 3: Cross-country skiing at Hafjelltoppen

After breakfast we will drive to the Hafjelltoppen. In Gaiastova ski rental you can hire ski equipment. This is also a great place to start skiing day because the area is very flat and good for first skiing day. Gaiastova has a cosy cafe where to eat a lunch or drink some tea or coffee after beautiful skiing day.
After the lunchtime, we coming back to the hotel. Free evening!

Day 4: Alpine skiing at Hafjell

Today we will enjoy alpine skiing at hafjell ski resort. Hafjell is located 15km north of Lillehammer, and is an Olympic arena with a wide variety of runs. 16 ski lifts provide access to a total of 44 km of slopes, and the longest run is 7,5km long. The drop is 835m, and snowmaking facilities ensure good skiing conditions throughout winter. The Kjus Run is specially designed for active skiers. The skiing area in Hafjell on the sunny side of the mountain, and sheltered from wind.
After the lunchtime, we coming back to the hotel. Free evening!

Day 5: Snowshoeing in Nordseter

After breakfast we will take bus Nordseter mountain village. This is a great place to try snowshoeing. Snowshoeing is a great and eco-friendly way to explore the wintry nature of norway. We will make a beautiful round-trip in the forest. This will be a wonderful day in Norwegian wilderness. After the tour we will enjoy coffee at the local cafe. Afternoon we will come back to hotel in Lillehammer.

Day 6: Departure

Departure, depending on the schedule of your flight.
