About this activity
Pick up in front of your hotel in Ouarzazate towards Agdez, the administrative village after we cross the Anti Atlas mountains and Tizi n’Tinifift pass. The Draa valley starts here and extends to more than 190 km, the ancient texts says that crocodiles were swimming in it. Along the valley we see many villages in both banks where locals praqctice agriculture as a main activity for living, gathering dates during August to October is popular here. The famous kasbah of Draa valley is Tamnougalt located on the left bank of the river. Zagora is an administrative centre famous for it’s panel “Tombouctou 52 days”. It was the cradle of Saadian dynasty who ruled Morocco during the fifteenth century. 18 km far from Zagora, an old village called Tamgrout. Tamegroute is an old religious centre; a library of the most precious manuscripts and green pottery factories. 7 km further to achieve the first sand dune called Tinfou where you can ride a camel or just walk over the hill. Lunch will be in Zagora then return to Ouarzazate by the afternoon.

This trip will make you taste and feel the desert if you only have one day.
