About this activity
Your tour will begin at the blue gates of Trinity College and take you into some of the oldest colleges, usually including New College, which was founded in 1379 and made an appearance in the Harry Potter films.

The tour typically also visits Exeter College which was founded in 1314, Balliol College which was founded in 1264 and has educated more 20th-century British Prime Ministers than any other college. All tours will end inside the University Library.

On your tour, you will learn about the history of the city and the university from a local guide. You will also hear about famous alumni who studied and taught at the university and actually step inside some of the oldest college dining halls, chapels, cloisters, and quads.

Your tour will include less than one mile of walking and all entrance fees are included.

I had an excellent tour with Tom. Part of that is the result of his having only me as a client, but much of it is his knowledge and wit, and his ability to customize a tour to the specific interests of that client.

We did this tour on Saturday 13th October. It was fantastic and good value for money. The guide was full of knowledge and little 'asides' of true stories and legends. We found out so much more about the inner workings of the University and the history that we ever could doing a walking tour on our own. Many thanks for a great one and a half hours.

Excellent tour. Easy to find the meeting place and good value. We had actually found most of the main land mark buildings in Oxford before the tour started, but this gives you access to areas you wouldn't come across by yourself. Its good to hear the history and some modern film references to the buildings. There are some stunning locations to visit. Its well worth the money and the hour and half touring around. I would thoroughly recommend it. We had a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide too.

Actual tour was very good once the guide got over the inconvenience of having to check my details by reference numbers. As I have no printer at home I was not able to print the receipt but did telephone beforehand to make sure this was ok. As many people are in this position an updated system would be useful.
