Ross took us to four vineyards in the Hawke's Bay region north of Napier. This was far more than a wine tasting, though that was lovely. Ross is deeply knowledgeable about cultivating wine grapes, and patiently answered our many questions. We learned much about bird nets, powdery mildew, the consequences of the timing of rain on grapes, and much more. Ross ended the day with cheese and fruit plate, including avocado from his own garden. Highly recommended if you want to learn about viniculture with a personable and affable guide.

Ross was a great host. Very knowledgeable and personable. Good wines at good wineries. Lovely lunch and afternoon platter.
