You will be met at Napier's National Aquarium, the SECOND stop for the free shuttle into Napier. Your first stop is in front of the Art Deco Masonic Hotel. You will then have the opportunity to take a 30 minute walk around Napier's Art Deco CBD. Then travel over Napier hill to Ahuriri and visit the iconic Art Deco National Tobacco building. From here, drive past the Ahuriri marina then onto Mission Estate which was established in 1851 as a Seminary. Before moving on to your next stop, enjoy a 2 course a la carte luncheon and glass of wine at the acclaimed Mission Estate restaurant. Go on a brief tour of this magnificent wooden two storied Victorian villa and those that wish can taste a selection of wines produced by The Mission.
Departing the Mission, head into the country side past orchards and vineyards. Stop at the beautiful Esk Valley Memorial Church that was built in 1921 in Spanish Mission style.
Continue on through Linden Estate and drive up Seafield Farms private road to a viewing platform. You will be served refreshments here at the purpose built gazebo/viewing platform. From the platform which is 650feet (202meters) above sea level it is possible to see the entire Hawkes Bay. Looking inland,you can view rural pastoral New Zealand at its best.
It is then time to travel back to Napier up Seapoint Road past some of the old villas located there. Stop at the Bluff Hill lookout and are then able to look down upon your cruise ship berthed in the port below. The tour ends with a drop-off at the Napier i-Site, the departure point for your free shuttle back to your ship.
