Champasak is lies in southern region of lao, there is many things to do and sightseeing when you visit. this case we start from pakse to watphu, then go to Oumong temple and back to end at pakse

Wat phu: The pre-Angkor temple of Wat Phou. UNESCO world heritage site we call Wat Phou. The temple was built in the 6th century by the Khmers and was originally used to worship the Hindu god Shiva and other deities before being converted into a Buddhist temple in later centuries. Wat Phou was considered the centre of the Khmer kingdom until it was moved to Angkor Wat in the 12th century.

Oumong: also know as “ub mong”,” Muang Tomo ro Um Tomo” is a small temple ruin date back to the IXth

century during reign of the khmer king Yasovanan and dedicated to Rudani , An aspect of shiva’s consort. The temple is immersed in an vocation dipterocarp tree forest and consist of esplanade bordered by lingams and two crumbling laterite sanctuaries.

It is located at about 45 km south of route 13 and a road sign, on the right side will indicate where to turn (The dirt road of about 4 km has been recently improved) It is also possible to reach the site by boat from pakse or other landing sites like ban muang (the boat landing opposite champasak town) and champasak town.
