5-days Sicily tour: food & culture traveling off the beaten paths

Day 1: arrival at the airport of Palermo. Private transfer from the airport to the hotel. Check in at 3* hotel in the city center of Palermo. Day at your leisure

Day 2: breakfast at the hotel. Today meet your guide in the city center of Palermo and enjoy a 3-hours food tour of the city...and taste the best local street food! The uniqueness of Palermitan street food doesn’t simply lie in its variety and rich flavours, but also in the ability that every dish has to tell a history about Palermo. We'll visit Capo Market and Vucciria market and we'll taste the best street food of Palermo! Taste at least 5 traditional street food specialities, a Sicilian aperitive (eg. olives, cheese) at the oldest bar downtown, a glass of local wine and a seasonal dessert or gelato! Afternoon at your leisure.

Day 3: breakfast at the hotel. Leave the hustle and bustle of Palermo to visit some of the most beautiful parts of Western Sicily: Erice, Segesta and the Trapani Salt Pans. During this smallgroup tour you will visit the archaeological site of Segesta (tickets entrance not included), take in the excellent views from the hilltop town of Erice and see how sea salt is still collected off the Sicilian coast at the Salt Pans of Trapani. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon

Day 4: breakfast at the hotel. Get on board a typical Ape and explore the surroundings of Palermo with a private guide. Thanks to our Ape Tour you will have the opportunity to visit the most fascinating and evocative places that make Palermo unique all over the world. The Piaggio Ape is a three-wheeled vintage vehicle, that is typical of Southern Italy and Sicily...so you cannot miss this authentic experience! With our Ape we'll reach Monreale, famous for its enchanting Chatedral. Entering through the majestic bronze portal, you can immediately notice the amazing size of this building entirely covered in golden mosaics, which cover an astonishing 6340 square meters surface, the second biggest Byzantine mosaic work in the world. Return to the hotel. Afternoon at your leisure.

Day 5: breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from the hotel to the airport of Palermo.
