The Monastery of Monreale built at the end of the XII century by William II, the Norman king of Sicily, it's a mix of Sicilian and Byzantine style. The highlight of the Cathedral is its interior, full of amazing golden mosaics, all over the walls of the nave, aisles, transept and apse - more than 80 thusend SF in total. (entrance costs 5 euro each)
