Mount Etna is the most high active volcano in Europe for at least 2700 years and is also the most studied since the Greek period. Etna is the capital for the experts of volcanology and geosciences, as well as for lovers of trekking and nature. Touching 19 town, from few to 3.350 meters on the sea level, the Volcano offers a wide tourist experience all year round. From Crateri Silvestri (1,850 m.s.l.) is possible, by a funicular and with a local mountain guide (C.A.I.), to arrive up to 2,500 meters. Enjoy one of the most unforgettable panorama of your life.

Our driver Joshua was very sweet, but I found the additional Euro 65 to go up Etna a complete waste of money as the view is not much different. Additionally you must wear closed shoes. The Etna tour was uninformative and pointless. However, Toarmina was lovely and would recommend to this quaint town.
