After your Local Guide picks you up at your hotel in Palermo, you'll be driven trough the wonderful interior of the landscape south of the capital. The Sicani Mountains and the hilly landscape is already a highlight of this tour. After approx. 2 hours you'll reach Agrigento to visit the Valley of Temples. Start a guided walk trough the archeological area with your local guide beginning from the Temple of Juno - enjoy an excellent view of the entire valley; admire the Temple of Concordia which is beautifully preserved. The oldest ruin is traditionally named the Temple of Hercules. These are among the greatest Greek ruins in the world, and the splendor of the temples in the Doric style, built during the fifth and sixth centuries BC. - Drive back to Palermo after a lunch break.
