Panama Canal and City Sightseeing Tour

All vehicles are all 4x4, air-conditioned, large, 7-seat vehicles which are safe and comfortable. All drivers speak English and will give you an in depth guided tour so not only are you sightseeing but learning about the rich and unique history of Panama. At the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center you will be placed on an elevated terrace very close to the ships navigating through the canal which offers an amazing view. The visitor center also offers an amphitheater where you will learn about the Panama Canal construction and operations. There is also a gift shop, restaurant, and exhibits. 

The Causeway which connects the 3 islands (Flamenco, Naos, Perico) is a special place in Panama which allows for an amazing view of Panama City and the Pacific side entrance to the Canal. You can also see the Ship in the canal, marinas, yachts, restaurants, shops, and other landmarks. Its a must see of you are in Panama.

The tour then follows to the Old Spanish Quarter (Casco Viejo) which is rich in Spanish Architecture and the site of the second major city in Panama which belonged to the Spanish in their Conquest of the Americas. The streets are narrow and cobblestone & brick, architecture unique to the 16th, 17th and 17th centuries, Old colonial structures such as churches, buildings, statues, and plazas. You can walk around the area or choose to see it from inside the vehicle. Pictures are a must!

The tour concludes with a sightseeing drive on Balboa avenue surrounded by skyscrapers and the bay of Panama, the financial district (50th street), the aqueduct on the ocean, and other key landmarks. Hotel drop-off then follows and the tour ends.
