Full-Day Sightseeing Tour of Paphos from Paphos

Our first stop will be in Yeroskipou Village to visit the Cyprus Delights workshop to see how the famous “Loukoumia” sweets are made and try them too! We will then see the 5-domed church of Ayia Paraskevi in the village square. From there we will drive northwest to visit the Ayios Neophytos Monastery where you can see the cave carved out of the mountain by the hermit Neophytos which contains some fine examples of Byzantine frescoes. We will continue to the village of Lemba, one of the oldest villages in Cyprus. Excavations have brought to life an important settlement of the Chalcolithic period (3800-2500BC) and replicas of houses from this period have been reconstructed using the same materials and building methods from that time. We continue to the North Coast reaching the Baths of Aphrodite, a beautiful grotto at the end of a short nature trail where the Goddess of Love is reputed to have bathed. There will follow free time for lunch (not included) and swimming at the nearby beach.
