Full-Day Tour to Versailles and the Louvre Including Skip-the-Line Access
Your day starts with transport from Paris to Versailles by coach, allowing you to avoid the hassle of finding your own way.
When you arrive at the palace, notorious for its excesses that sparked a revolution and left Marie Antoinette behind bars, begin your tour with your guide, who tells you all about the history of this incredible estate. Wander through vast corridors and ballrooms, checking out major sights such as the Hall of Mirrors, the King's and Queen’s bedrooms, and the lounges filled with artwork, chandeliers, and ornate furniture.
You’ll also have one hour of free time outside to explore the Gardens of Versailles, which cover 1,800 acres of manicured grounds. Depending on the day and scheduling of your visit, your Versailles tour may include the Musical Fountains Show and your guide will lead you around the water features that are timed perfectly to the notes of classical music played over hidden speakers. If the Musical Gardens are on, you’ll hear music while discovering some of the gardens' most idyllic spots.
On your return to Paris, enjoy some free time for lunch (own expense) to fuel up for the second part of your tour: the Louvre. Because your time is valuable, your guided exploration of one of the world’s largest and most impressive art museums introduces you to the can't-miss pieces in a group limited to 25 people in just 1.5 hours, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Learn interesting and entertaining facts about each piece as you're whisked through the endless halls and exhibits straight to the top masterpieces. No lines, no waiting, just enjoyment.
