Your Experience

The full-day tour will begin with a bus ride through the picturesque streets of Paris. The Place de la Bastille square can be seen, with the July Column standing at its center. You will then pass through the Marais, a former marshland that was converted into an aristocratic district. The tour bus will continue onto the Latin Quarter were the Sorbonne University and the College de France are located. Students form the majority of the population here, and the entire area has a lively atmosphere with a number of cafes and bistros. You will pass by the sprawling Luxembourg Gardens, a welcome sight in the middle of the bustling metropolis.

You will continue onto the Saint-Germain-des-Pres area, which is well-known for its luxury stores and boutiques. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Notre Dame, situated on the Ile de la Cite island. Well known for its Gothic architecture, the Notre Dame gargoyles pierce you with their stony eyes. The massive stained glass windows are a work of art and will leave you speechless. You will take a boat ride back to the PARISCityVISION office. A 30 minute break will let you grab some lunch in the neighborhood.

Post-lunch, the bus will take you to Montmartre. The guide will give you a brief overview of the area, once you take the cable car up the hill. You will be allowed to explore the region by yourself for a little while. You can see Vincent Van Gogh’s home here. The entire square will have several painters and cartoonists at work, and is the perfect spot for lovers of art. The white travertine stone attraction, the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur is situated at the top of the hill, and presents a regal sight. Next up is the Louvre Museum. The Pyramid shaped glass enclave is featured often in media and magazines. Witnessing it in real life is a magnificent experience. You will go on an hour-long tour of the Museum, and some of the most recognized paintings can be seen. The Coronation of Napoleon, The Wedding at Cana, and perhaps the most famous painting in the world, the Mona Lisa, are the centerpieces of the museum.
