Your tour starts at Clos de Luce Castle where da Vinci settled in 1516, as “Prime painter, engineer and architect” of François 1st.The Renaissance master put his talents to the service of the sovereign, completing several projects including the monumental Last Supper tapestry, commissioned by the King himself. To celebrate 500 years since his death, the castle will exhibit the tapestry, a masterpiece of silver and silk, between 6th June and 8th September this year.
