This option is a great way to skip the general admission line and get into the Louvre sooner. We met the guide at the statue as indicated in the instructions and he provided the tickets, a map, and a suggested list of exhibits. We likely saved a half hour by using the special tour line. The map was useful, but we did not use the exhibit list. The Louvre is huge and we did not see everything even though we were there for 6 hours. We spent an hour waiting in line inside to see the Mona Lisa which was worth it. There are many exhibits and lots of art, but it should be noted that as Americans without an audio or tour guide, it can be difficult to fully appreciate the museum because the majority of the exhibits have text that is only in French.
The guide meets with you at a designated spot in front of the Louvre Museum and then takes you inside with skip the line (on our particular day it was really busy so the skip the line was an actual line but it went fast). Our guide was super nice, he took us in and then pointed out all the necessities and gave us an itinerary before we went to go explore on our own. I’m sure if you bought skip the line passes by itself it would have been the same. Either way the Louvre is a must see!!!
