Paris: Montmartre and Sacré Coeur Experience

No doubt about it: the visit to Montmartre is a mandatory stop for any respectful trip to Paris. Located on a hill in the north of the city, this magical district was the cradle of Impressionism and Belle Époque. Refuge of bohemian artists, it welcomed amongst the others Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani, Vang Gogh, Utrillo, Picasso. The mavericks of the museum of Eros, the classic show of the Moulin Rouge cancan, the famous Café de Amélie and even the Moulin de la Galette, immortalized in a painting by Renoir, and many other historical cabarets create the urban decor of this historic district, which with its vineyards and the steep cobbled streets, maintains the look of a small village. At the end of our walk, once reached the top of the hill, at the foot of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, we will have a striking view of the city and a last dip in the Paris of the artists at Place du Tertre.
