Paris Small-Group Trip to Giverny: Claude Monet's House and Gardens and Musée des Impressionnismes
When you arrive at Claude Monet's House and Gardens, you are free to wander through the rows of vibrant flowers in front of the home, and then stroll over to the water lily pond and Japanese bridge, which you'll recognize from some of Monet's most famous paintings. Take in a variety of vegetation, including cherry trees, tulips, roses, wisteria, weeping willows, and irises.
Inside the house, you can see the kitchen, dining room, living spaces, and bedrooms, and admire his collection of Japanese prints on the walls. The leader of the Impressionist movement of the 19th century, Monet introduced more perception, emotion, and light into art of his age, and he spent almost 40 years developing his Giverny property. You can also take a look at his workshop.
Afterward, head to the Musée des Impressionnismes (Museum of Impressionism), a tribute to Impressionists around the world. The museum depicts the history of this beloved artistic movement and features The Garden, designed by landscape painter Mark Rudkin, which offers a colorful nod to the themes dear to the Impressionists. Explore the permanent gallery, Monet Around, to learn about the influence of Monet and his contemporaries on the generations that followed them, and check out the temporary exhibitions, which change twice a year to provide a renewed perspective of the Impressionist movement.

This was a must do for my wife so we went with a very small tour six of us in total. The guide was very well versed in Monet's background and the location and I felt like we had a personal tour and just about the right amount of time to see and understand the location with her insight. I would recommend the smaller tours if you are visiting a location that is a must see for you. We've done several tours and although more costly, if it's important to you, go with the smaller tour.
Sarah was excellent and enormously helpful. Made it an outstanding experience. She is highly recommended
