Stop At: Moet et Chandon Champagne Cellars, Epernay, Marne, Grand Est

You will visit the prestigious Moet and Chandon Champagne house in Epernay, the Champagne Capital. Easily boasting the largest Champagne cellars in the world, this luxury Champagne house is home to some 17 miles (28 km) of underground tunnels where their world-famous sparkling wine matures. As you tour this incredible labyrinth of chalk cellars with your guide, learn about the magical process of turning standard white wine into something fizzy! Hear about humidity levels and temperature control, and, see for yourself how the bubbles get into each bottle. At the end of your 1,5-hour walking tour around the cellars, sample a glass of Moet Champagne and discuss its complex creation with the fellow Champagne lovers in your group.

Pass By: Avenue de Champagne, Epernay, Marne, Grand Est

Not to miss when visiting the Champagne Region and its "capital". A drive along the Avenue de Champagne where you will see grand mansions owned by many famous champagne brands, such as Pol Roger, Perrier-Jouët, Moët & Chandon, Mercier and its famous "Foudre Mercier" the largest barrel in the world, built for the Universal Exhibition of 1889.

Stop At: Champagne Roger-Constant Lemaire, Villers-sous-Chatillon, Marne, Grand Est

Your last stop will be dedicated to the visit of this family run winery where you will have the opportunity to taste 4 different Champagnes. The history of the Roger-Constant Lemaire Estate dates back to the late 19th century to the village of Hautvillers, the cradle of champagne. The family specialises in creating champagnes with an exceptionally fresh palate, characterised by authenticity and the distinctive flavour of the local terroir. Their passion for vines and wine forms the very essence of the cuvees they produce. Environmental protection, use of seaweed fertiliser on the land, traditional winemaking practices combined with modern production techniques... these are the elements that have forged the image and the reputation of their champagnes throughout the world.
