When you're ready to leave the Eiffel Tower, return to ground level and head to your evening illuminations cruise, which departs just a 5-minute walk from the base of the tower. You can hop on the boat for any departure; the frequency is either every 30 minutes or every 60 minutes, depending on the time of year. (Your ticket allows you to skip the line to buy the cruise ticket and can be used at any time during your stay in Paris; it's valid for more than 3 months.)

We met our representative at the meeting spot but it was not easy to spot her because she didn't have a sign or flag to indicate that she was the rep. Although it was nice to skip the line at the bottom of the tower, there was no skip the line once you got to the second elevators to proceed to the summit. In that case, the tour name is not entirely accurate. Also, and this may in part my fault, we were not given any further instruction about the evening illuminations cruise. It turns out, we should have received a ticket from our rep and did not. I don't know if it was a miss on her part or ours but I thought that the ticket I had printed before arriving in Paris was for both. The cruise ticket office said we needed an additional ticket from the tour guide. I ended up purchasing another ticket at that point and will look to get reimbursed for my already paid ticket for the cruise.
Very disappointed with misleading information. First I thought that we was going to have a tour guide. The instructions states that we should get an email for confirm never received one. Had to wait another hour once we finally found the meeting. The meeting is awful. Should state near what find of Eiffel tower is the meeting place. Find a place that you can see the name.
The Eiffel Tower summit was amazing! Our tour guide was prompt and helped us navigate the very busy crowds on Easter weekend. However, we were notified at 5 pm the night before that there was the possibility we could not get our tickets and they would have to refund us. Viator asked them to prioritize us and we did end up with tickets. It was time out of our vacation dealing with this and I was very worried our family would not get to experience this great monument. The river cruise line was very long and the cruise was boring. The handheld phone that provides narration was dull.
Our guide, Amre, was such a pleasure. He was funny and informative. The Eiffel Tower itself was a surreal experience. So beautiful! This tour was worth every penny.
