About this activity
On this tour you’ll learn all about the US involvement in France during WWI. Your expert guide will share details about the training of the troops, their deployment in France, and all of their most important battles. You’ll visit notable memorials and hear the personal stories of the brave men who fought in the trenches and fell in France. You’ll also be able to attend the Taps ceremony at Belleau Woods cemetery.
The US portion of the western front was located in the beautiful Champagne region of France. There, winemakers have been making their famous sparkling wine for over 300 years. It would be a shame to visit this lovely region of France without experiencing its local charm. So our day trip also includes a visit to a local Champagne house. There you’ll learn about the process of making Champagne and, of course, taste some of this famous sparkling wine.
