Find yourself in the King's private apartments, where your group will be the only one allowed into each room.
Learn about the daily lives of Kings Louis XV and XVI, their queens and their mistresses. These lavish private rooms remained furnished just as they were at the height of their use, preserved by the stringent and highly regulated access schedule. Comfy bus met us on time at Tracadero and getting to Versailles early was definitely the way to go. Loved the jump the line access and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was definitely worth having a peek into areas the rest of ticket holders couldn't go. And the gardens were everything you'd expect - green, lush and beautiful and we were given plenty of time to explore them on our own. I think a full day would have been too long so this half day option was perfect. We were back in the city by early afternoon with plenty of time left in the day to do other things.
