Itinerary

First 3 days of this trip (Day 1-3) will be spent in Paro and Thimphu and get in touch with culture and tradition of the Kingdom of Bhutan that has remained untouched for centuries. On Day 2 of this trip, you will hike to the famous Paro Taktsang or Tiger’s Nest located on the face of the 800m rock cliff.

Immerse yourself into the mindful Buddhist way of life, away from the materialistic world, and discover why Bhutan has earned its nickname the ‘Kingdom of Happiness’.

Visit ancient temples and magnificent Dzongs (fortresses) and marvel at the fine wall paintings, exquisite architecture and craftsmanship that still continues to influence the Bhutanese architecture today.

Hike to 8th century sacred site where Bhutan’s iconic landmark, 17th century Paro Taktsang or Tiger’s Nest is located on the face of a precarious 800m rock cliff.

9 Days of trekking through the majestic mountains of Bhutan, glistening glacial lakes and pristine forests inhabited by some of world’s endangered species of flora and fauna.
Interact and experience the life of yak herders who lives semi-nomadic lifestyles at altitude over 4,000 meters above sea level.

  • Other important information:
  • We highly recommend you to book this trip at least 3 months prior to the date of arrival. There are only two international flights operating in and out of Bhutan and most of the time flight gets fully booked several months in advance.
  • Transport while in the city, up to the starting point and from the end point of the trek is private SUV/Minivan/Bus Coach depending on the size of your group. During the course of trekking, porters and pack animals will carry trekking paraphernalia including food supplies.
  • Jomolhari Loop Trek is the most popular trekking route in Bhutan.
  • To enjoy this trekking one has to be physically fit. Make sure you get physical training to get healthy and fit before undertaking this trek. Trail crosses altitude of almost 4,900 meters above sea level. You should be able to walk/trek 20+ km in 8-9 hours through rough terrains.
  • This trek is best enjoyed during the high season months of April, May, September, October & November.
  • Youth rate applies to students aged between 13-24 years old only upon submission of a valid student identification document.
  • Visa is 100% guaranteed
  • Accommodation will be provided at hotels certified by the Tourism Council of Bhutan and those are the hotels we love to stay ourselves
  • During the course of trekking, accommodation will be provided in a tent at campsites designated by Government
