8 Days 7 Nights. This tour programs and itineraries are flexible which can be customized to suit your interest and needs. Mode of transportation is by Private SUV/Minivan/Bus depending on the size of your group.

Day 1 - Arrive Paro International Airport - Sightseeing in Paro: Paro Altitude: 2,195 meters. You'll be received at Paro International Airport. Transfer to hotel and after lunch, visit ancient watch tower called Ta Dzong now turned into National Museum, visit 17th century Paro Dzong or Fortress of the Heap of Jewels and get your first visual treat of fine Bhutanese architecture. Day 2 - Paro / Haa Valley: Distance Via Chelela: 60km, Driving Time: Normally 2 hours, Haa Altitude: 2,670m. Drive to valley of Haa. En route, hike to Kila Gonpa Nunnery built on a steep cliff face and Chelela Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan at 3,800 meters (12,500 ft). At Haa Valley visit two 7th century temples. Day 3 - Full Day in Haa - Witness Haa Summer Festival: Haa Altitude: 2,670m. Drive to Haa Summer Festival site, mingle among local people. This festival provides insight on traditional living-culture, lifestyles of nomadic yak herders and taste unique Bhutanese cuisines. B L D

Day 4 - Haa / Thimphu: Distance: 112 km, Driving Time: Less than 4 hours, Thimphu Altitude: 2, 334m. Dive to Thimphu. Visit Bhutan Postal Museum - a great stop for philatelists, Royal Textile Museum to get understanding of Bhutan's rich textile traditions and way of life. After 5PM visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong. BLD

Day 5 - Thimphu / Punakha: Distance: 74 km, Driving Time: 3 hours, Punakha Altitude: 1,200m. Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass at 3,150m. En route visit 15th century Fertility Temple and historic Punakha Fortress. B L D

Day 6 - Punakha / Paro: Distance: Approx. 128km, Driving Time: 4 hours, Paro Altitude: 2,195m. Hike to the scenic Buddhist Stupa through paddy fields and rural houses. Then drive to Paro. B L D

Day 7 - Full Day in Paro - Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest): Total Hiking Time: 4 hours, Taktsang Altitude: 3,120m. Go on an excursion to the famed Taktsang Monastery and later in the afternoon visit one of the farm houses in Paro and enjoy home cooked Bhutanese dinner. B L D

Day 8 - Departure from Paro: After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Paro Int'l Airport for your onward journey. B

  • There are only two airlines operating in and out of Bhutan and so securing air tickets can be difficult especially during the months of high season. We recommend you to book least a month in advance especially if you plan to visit during the high season. To ease your burden and take the stress out of trip planning we can take care of your air ticket bookings at no extra charge for the incoming and outgoing flights from Bhutan. You just have to take care of the connecting flights.
  • Accommodation will be provided at hotels approved and periodically inspected by the Tourism Council of Bhutan and those are the hotels we love to stay ourselves
