Itinerary

Day 1: Day 01 Paro

Stop At: Paro River, Paro, Paro District
On arrival in Paro, tour guide representative will receive you and transfer to the hotel, where we spend two nights. Serene Paro at 7,500ft is one of Bhutan’s most of fertile and most beautiful valley. Today you will visit Kichu Lhakhang, one from the 2 oldest temples in the country, historic Drukgyal Dzong (Fortress).

Day 2: Day 02 Paro

Stop At: Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), Paro, Paro District
Today after having breakfast, we will make a hike to Paro Taktshang Monastery, the most famous and sacred monastery in Bhutan. Taktshang means “TigerNest” named after Guru Rinpoche reportedly flew to this site riding on the back of a flying tigress in the 8th century. We have to walk about 2hours and 30minutes up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. Lunch will be served at Taktshang cafeteria.

Day 3: Day 03 Bumthang

Stop At: Bumthang Brewery, Bumthang, Bumthang District
A short, and scenic flight whisks into Bumthang, the spiritual and cultural heartland of the kingdom. We will spend whole day in the festival which will accompany with various mask dances and folk dancers along with jokers actions in the crowd.

Day 4: Day 03 Bumthang

Stop At: Jakar Dzong, Jakar, Bumthang District
We will spend whole day in the festival, Nimalung Festival is one of the most important festivals of Bhutan. For those who love the Bhutanese cultures and traditions and want to enjoy the traditional folk dances and performances of the locals clad in vibrant outfits, there is no way they can miss this festival.
Kurjey Tshechu is a popular festival celebrated in Kurjey temple in Chokhor valley of Bumthang district.

Day 5: Day 05 Bumthang

Stop At: Jakar Dzong, Jakar, Bumthang District
Drive the dirt road to the most remote of the Bumthang valley. End route visit the Burning lake. Hike for 30 min crossing the bridge to Wangdi Choling, a former Place converted into a museum and a guest house.

Day 6: Day 06 Phojikha Valley

Stop At: Phobjikha Valley
Walk back to the car and continue driving back passing by the wool weaving center, which is famous in Bumthang Valley.after that visit Trongsa Dzong and continues drive to Phojikha over pelela pass at 3140m.Visit Gangtey Gompa, the largest and the only monastery of the Nyingmapa sect in western Bhutan. Take a 2 hours natural trail walk from the temple to the nearest road head. Evening relax in your hotel or take a stroll.

Day 7: Day 07 Thimphu

Stop At: Dochula Pass, Thimphu, Thimphu District
Check out of the hotel and drive to Thimphu, On the way visit Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang on foot, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus. Lunch in punakha and Continue drive through Dochula pass, the second highest road pass in your trip at 3010m. When the weather permits you can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan. After a short tea break continue to capital city Thimphu.

Day 8: Day 08 Thimphu- Paro

Stop At: Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten), Thimphu, Thimphu District
Morning visit the weekend market (Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday), Handmade paper Mill, School of Arts and crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Lunch in town. Drive pass by Memorial Chorten (temple) built in memory of the late 3rd King. Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley, Enclosure where national animal, Takin are kept and Zilukha Nunnery. In the evening drive to Paro

Day 9: Day 09 Paro International Airport- Departure

Pass By: Paro Airport Bird's Eye View Point, Paro, Paro District
