Day 1: Thimphu-Paro

Stop At: Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge, Paro-Thimphu Highway, Paro 12001 Bhutan
Visit the temple and the bridge built by handmade iron chain. As you cross the bridge you can listen to the murmur of the rivers

Stop At: Simtokha Dzong, 5 Kms South of Thimphu, Thimphu Bhutan
Five miles from Thimphu, on a lofty ridge, stands Semtokha Dzong the oldest fortress in the Kingdom.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tashichho Dzong (Thimpu Dzong), Chhagchhen Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
Evening visit Tashichho Dzong the impressive fortress which houses the secretariat building, the throne room of His Majesty the King and various government offices. It is also the summer residence of the Chief Abbot and central monk body. Witness the Flag lowering ceremony before you enter the Dzong

Day 2: Thimphu sightseeing

Stop At: Buddha Dordenma, Kuensel Phodrang Viewing Point, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
Drive to Kuenselphodrang where world’s tallest Buddha Statue (169 feet) sits overlooking the Thimphu Valley. Enjoy the spectacular view of Thimphu city.

Stop At: Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten), Thimphu Bhutan
Visit National Memorial Chorten: The building of this landmark was envisaged by the third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, as a monument to world peace and prosperity. Completed in 1974 after his untimely death, it is both a memorial to the Late King (”the father of modern Bhutan “) and a monument to world peace. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy.

Stop At: Bhutan Post Office Headquarters, Thimphu 0001, Bhutan Chang Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
General Post Office where you can make a postage stamp with your own picture which can be posted within Bhutan.

Stop At: Sangaygang, Thimphu Bhutan
Wangditse Hike
A beautiful hike of about an hour and half to the quiet pine forest could be refreshing in the evening. The hike will take you through a deep pine forest and as you pass by you can hear the chirping of birds. At certain angle you can have a grand view of Thimphu valley & glorious Tashicho dzong

Day 3: THIMPHU-PUNAKHA (71 KM/3 HOURS)

Stop At: Dochula Pass, Thimphu Bhutan
● We will Drive up to Dochu-la pass (3,088m/10,130ft) early in the morning to watch the sunrise.
We will stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the 108 chortens, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road.
If skies are clear, the high Himalayan peaks towards the north east will be revealed in all their glory. On a clear day, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendegang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m), Jejegangphugang (7,158m), Kangphugang (7,170m), Zongaphugang (7,060m) a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana, and finally, Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.

Stop At: Chimi L'hakhang Temple, Punakha Bhutan
● Hike to Chemi Lhakhang through a nice walk along the rice field and through farm houses. The temple was built by Lama Nawang Chogyel in 1499 after the site was blessed by Drukpa Kunley , the divine madman. The monastery is the repository of the original wooden symbol of phallus that Kunley brought from Tibet. And today it has become a popular a temple where barren women come to pray for a child. The temple is popularly known as the Fertility Temple.

Stop At: Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery, Punakha Bhutan
Drive to Nunnery(Shengchen Lhendrup nunnery viewpoint to enjoy the views of Punakha and Wangdue valleys.Witness evening prayer.And if you wish you can participate in incense and butter lamp offering, the company can arrange the offering for you(No extra charge involved

Day 4: DAY 04: PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING, DRIVE TO GANGTEY(3HRS)

Stop At: Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
● Visit Punakha Dzong, a massive structure built at the junction of two rivers. Punakha was Bhutan’s capital until 1955 and Punakha Dzong still serves as the winter residence of the central monk body. Bhutan’s first king, Ugyen Wangchuck, was crowned here in 1907. The fortress has withstood damage from fire, earthquake and flood over the centuries. The latest flood, in October, 1994, caused great damage to the fortress but miraculously spared its most holy statue.

Stop At: Punakha Suspension Bridge, Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
The 160 metres Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge is known for the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan, which gives you spectacular views of Punakha Dzong and the Pho Chhu Valley.

Stop At: Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, Punakha Bhutan
Take a mild hike to Khamsum Yulley and as you hike you will be greeted by beautiful paddy fields . Once at Khamsum Yulley, you can have a panaromic view of Punakha valley
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Phobjikha Valley, Bhutan
Gangtey(Phobjikha Valley): The valley is popular for its scenic splendor and cultural uniqueness.. Phobjikha is well known as the winter home of the Black-Necked Cranes (Grus Nigricollis), that migrate from the Tibetan plateau. The birds can be observed from early November to end of March. Overlooking the valley is the Gangtey Goenpa.
You may reach Gangtey in the evening. On the first day you can just relax and enjoy the scenic beauty and the tranquility of Gang tey valley.

Day 5: DAY 05: GANGTEY SIGHTSEEING, GANGTEY-PARO (200 Km/ 7 HOURS)

Stop At: Gangtey Monastery, Gangtey Bhutan
Gangtey Nature Trail Hike
The most beautiful and shortest of the existing nature trails in Bhutan. The trail hike starts from the Mani (like Chhorten) stone wall to the north of the Gangtey Gonpa and ends in Khewa Lhakhang. The hike takes about 1hr 30minutes through the pine forest and small bamboo plants. You can see the Phobjkha valley so beautifully from this hike. It is one of the best hike places for the Nature lovers. During the winter months, we can see the endangered species of birds – Black Neck Cranes

Day 6: DAY 06: PARO TAKTSHANG HIKE (4-6 HOURS)

Stop At: Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), Taktsang Trail, Paro 11001 Bhutan
Hike to Taktshang Monastery, one of the holiest and the most beautiful sites of Bhutan. Taktshang, the tiger’s lair, acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rimpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress.

Stop At: Rinpung Dzong, Paro Bhutan
● Evening visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to watch the evening Sunrise
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Kyichu Lhakhang, Lamgong Gewog, Paro 12001 Bhutan
It is one of the oldest and sacred monastery in Bhutan. The construction of it dates back to the 7th century by Tibetan Emperor Songtsen Gyelpo
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 7: DAY 07: DEPARTURE:

Stop At: Drukgyel Dzong, Paro 11001 Bhutan
If your flight timing is after lunch then we can visit DrugyalDzong. It was built in 1649 to commemorate the victory of Bhutanese over the allied Tibetan-Mongolian forces. The Dzong as a defense fortress is said to have housed the finest armory in the country.

We can watch the sunrise over the Jumolhari mountain if weather cooperates
