About this activity
Your adventure begins when our friendly staff pick you up from your hotel. You can choose to do our morning ride with pickup between 7 - 8am (depending on your hotel location) or the afternoon ride with pickup from 12 - 1pm. Enjoy the ride out of the city and through the countryside as you journey to the small village area of Kao Yai Da. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our onsite staff and they will provide you with an insurance waiver to read through and sign (waivers available in English, Russian and Chinese). Once this is complete you can visit the restroom and use our free locker service to store away any extra items.
Our forest guides will then fit you with a helmet and you will embark on the 4x4 safari ride up the mountain to the training area. Enjoy the eco-tour provided by the guides as they point out highlights of the local ecology. After you reach the training area, you will be fitted with a harness and given leather gloves along with a water bottle. Cable Rides operates with a self-braking system so that participants are always in control of their speed and gloves are provided to protect your hands. The guides will then lead a safety training session and all participants must show mastery of the braking technique by doing a miniature training cable. After the safety training is complete, the guides will lead a nature hike up to the first platform.
Once you've reached the top, you'll begin the rainforest canopy tour that will take you across 23 platforms and over 3200 meters through the treetops! Enjoy the stunning views and be sure to take plenty of photos! When the adventure is complete our guides will lead you back to our base camp and you can enjoy an authentic Thai meal (chicken fried rice, vegetable soup, organic salad, bread and fruit buffet). After the meal our driver will return you to your hotel.
Total excursion time is usually around 6 hours, depending on traffic and group size.

- We suggest wearing comfortable shorts or long pants and a T-shirt. Sports shoes or sandals that don’t drop off easily are also highly recommended
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- Guests must be at least 120 cm tall (4 ft) and not weigh more than 120 kg (265 lb)
- Activity is not recommended for persons with high blood pressure, heart conditions, pregnancy, asthma, dizziness, epilepsy, or spine, neck or back problems

The journey round hotels picking up people was a bit long-winded as I was the first hotel and it is a fair drive after that so be prepared for 1.5hrs in transit. The actual tour base is a little rustic and it is always disconcerting getting a disclaimer placed before you to sign. However, one you are on the 4x4 travelling up the hill you get the feel you are about to have an experience and that is what you definately get. You need to be fairly fit as there is a walk up the hill to the first station and be prepared to sweat a bucket. The guides are great, funny and do some great tricks on the slides. The zip slides are fantastic with great views down the valley and into the rainforest canopy. There are plenty of them so be prepared to be up there a couple of hours. Then its down the mountain for a lovely simple Thai meal and back to the hotel feeling like you spent a full day in the outdoors and ready for beer. Great fun for a day!
