Best of Perth Wildflower Season Day Trip

1 day
Full Day
About this activity
With a botanical guide, travel to various locations on Perth’s outskirts in search of the finest wildflowers. Whilst the slope, soils and ancient granite outcrops of the Darling Escarpment are traditionally the ideal habitat and location to view wildflowers, profusion varies daily and is dependent on sunshine.
Visit locations where you can expect to find the finest wildflowers for you to see and smell. Your experienced guide will help you identify rare and delicate wildflowers including renowned everlastings, orchids, red and green kangaroo paw, banksias, bottle brush and Western Australia’s most famous orange flowering Christmas trees.
There is ample time to identify and photograph flowers and a complimentary wildflower booklet on Western Australia’s unique wildflowers is included.
*Please be advised that this tour does involve walking off-track, sometimes in bushland in order to find and see the Wildflowers. Long legged pants and well gripping shoes are recommended.

Saw plenty of wildflowers but group too large for one leader, who didn't wait for everyone to get off bus before walking off. So much of detailed information missed. Also organisation of hotel drop offs at end was poor. Needs rethinking to account for city centre traffic. Quite poor value for money compared with other trips.

The wildflowers were beautiful, however, I think it was a little disappointing in terms of the tour guide's commentary. I was particularly offended by the description of the Grass Trees as Black Boys and Black Gins this is highly offensive to Aboriginal people and this person needs to be trained not to use these terms any more they are not acceptable.
