CocuSocial: Rustic Raviolis from Scratch

Explore Italian cuisine through the art of making your own fresh pasta dough from scratch. Learn the importance of simple, wholesome ingredients to develop a delicious sauce. You will start with a crispy fried ravioli stuffed with fresh ricotta and dipped in homemade red sauce. Then enjoy a sweet and salty seasonal favorite, butternut squash ravioli. Finish with a decadent dessert ravioli because who says you can’t have pasta for dessert! 

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Renee grew up in small town outside of Harrisburg, PA called Dillsburg. As the youngest of four, she learned early the importance of staying humble yet curious. As a child she enjoyed visiting Philadelphia, now, as a member of the class of 2019 in Drexel's Culinary Arts program, she is excited to call it her new home. She believes that the practice of cooking is therapeutic and increases ones happiness. Renee is devoted to local farmers, sustainable agriculture, asian cuisine and homemade ice cream.
