Discover Cambodia’s foremost wildlife rescue center on a full-day tour to Phnom Tamao, 45 minutes southeast of Phnom Penh. See the world’s largest collection of captive pileated gibbons, as well as Malaysian sun bears, Siamese crocodiles, and more. What to ExpectSpend the day with the rare wildlife of Phnom Tamao, Cambodia’s foremost rescue center. Located just 45 minutes southeast of Phnom Penh, Phnom Tamao occupies 1,200 hectares and is home to the world’s largest collection of pileated gibbons and Malaysian sun bears.
Other rare species you will see include greater adjutant storks. A large number of the animals are from endangered species, and many have been rescued out of the hands of poachers or from being held as pets. Meet the local caretaker for a tour of the park and learn about the center’s work.
Wander the spacious grounds, where the large animal enclosures are a refreshing change from some of the cramped zoos of Southeast Asia. Kids will love the elephant park!
Afternoon drop-off in Phnom Penh between 4:00 – 5:00 PM depending on the group and traffic (an earlier drop-off can be arranged for an additional cost if you contact us in advance).
