Stop At: Royal Palace, Sothearos between Street 240 & 184, Phnom Penh Cambodia

Depending on the location of your hotel, we commonly start with the visit the Royal Palace, which was built in 1866 by King Norodom. The Palace is actually a number of structures within a pagoda-style compound. The Silver Pagoda, located within the Royal Palace compound, is so names because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. The treasures are a solid gold Buddha encrusted with 9, 584 diamonds and weighing 90 kilos and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: National Museum, 13th St. Between 178th and 184th Sts., Phnom Penh Cambodia

Next visit the National Museum, which houses Khmer art especially sculptures, from different periods of Cambodian history, 19th century dance costumes, royal barges and palanquins.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, Corner of Street 113 & St 350 History Museum, Phnom Penh 12304 Cambodia

Lunch at local restaurant and then this afternoon visit Tuol Sleng is now known as the Genocide Museum, although formerly used by the Pol Pot Regime as the detention and torture centre for “cadres” of that regime, it is a moving example of the difficulties faced by all in Cambodia between 1975 & 1979.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Russian Market, Corner of Street 163 and Street 444, Phnom Penh Cambodia

Continue for a drive through Phnom Penh to the stalls of Psar Tuol Tom Puong ‘The Russian Market”, a centre for all manner of recently created “antiquities” and goods from silk scarves “Kramas” to wood artefacts.

While the sun slowly sets over Phnom Penh, we regretfully have to end this amazing day through the Cambodian capital. We will return back to your hotel at around 18:00 hrs.
