About this activity
Originally engineered with the rugged landscape of the Israeli desert in mind, the Tomcar off-road vehicle offers the highest standard of safety, performance, and reliability on the market. Built to a professional grade with a high clearance and a low center of gravity, the vehicle is as equally adept carrying heavy picnic baskets loaded with food as it is carrying heavy military artillery. After arriving at the facility just outside of Scottsdale for a short orientation, you will head out along private trails with a professional guide.

Throughout the 2.5-hour ride, you will climb up rocky hillsides, safely bend around sharp turns, and push through scrub brush into wide-open views of the Sonoran Desert. Along the way, your expert guide will teach you about the unique geology and fascinating history of the private reservation while you search for wild horses grazing along the side of the road and bald eagles soaring overhead. You will stop three times along the way for photos and water, interrupting the adventure with moments of back country stillness.

At the conclusion of the tour, you will return the main facility to decompress and hydrate while sharing stories and photographs with your fellow passengers. During the winter season, the tour is available three times between morning and early afternoon. During the high temperatures of the summer season, one morning departure time is available before the heat of the desert afternoon.
